Now I am 8

Today was my birthday and now I am 8.



I had an angel food cake and lots of presents.



My Aunt Sarah is taking me to the Philadelphia Art Museum to see some paintings. I want to be an artist when I grow up.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Cereal!

Every Christmas we get 1,000,109 boxes of cereal in our stockings from our mom.


Heather still has her Christmas cereal but I ate all of mine.

Bathrobes

For Christmas we got robes. I (Heather) like to sleep in mine every night.

I think we look cool in our bathrobes.

Ballet

This is my ballet class. We had a show for all the parents.


I like my pink ballet slippers and I really like to wear my tap shoes, too.

My teacher lets us dance to the Sugar Plum fairies with bouquets of flowers.

I like my ballet class.

Halloween treats

Our mom made some cool Halloween treats. She read about them here and here. These are our treats. Our mom made the legs but we stuck them in and did the faces. We ate alot of spider cakes!

We had lots of leftover candycorn, so she made this sunflower cake too.

First we were from the Wizard of Oz ... Dorothy & Glinda the Good Witch

Then we were from Little House on the Prairie ... Laura & Mary

Either way, there was candy!

Trampoline

Here is our new trampoline. Our friends gave it to us. They turned their whole backyard into a swimming pool. Now we have a trampoline. It is lots of fun.

Go Hurricanes!

This is my team. We are the Hurricanes. We like to play soccer. My Papa is one of the coaches. There is also Coach Lynn and Coach Marcus. Marcus is the main coach and he is my friend Mia's dad.

We like to have fun. At the game, Mia and I are running to go help our team. I was either playing mid-field or forward. We won 2-0!

Little Feet ... Big Kicks

I love soccer. I practiced soccer with my team uniform on.

I was shy on the first day of soccer until my friend Rachel came. She was crying until she looked up and saw me. Rachel is in my class at school. My ball bumped into Rachel's ball - we were going around cones at practice.

I was about to kick into the goal. That was what we had to do after we went around the cones. Soccer is fun.

Return of the 2nd Grader

2nd grade is going to be the best year ever ... two of my best friends are in my class!

and my lunchbox matches my backpack ~ I like how curly the frog's tongue is!

School Daze

1st day of Kindergarten ... a new backpack for me

and one for puppy, too. He's coming with me in case I get scared.

I was feeling a little nervous when I was standing in line waiting for school to start.

My whole class walked in together with our teacher ~ she is really nice. I like her alot.

I took the bus home and had LOTS to tell my mom and dad ~ I had a very fun day at school.

Puzzle Princess

I like puzzles, especially really big, giant puzzles.

New Shoes

These are my new shoes for back to school. They are the coolest hi-tops in the world.

Farm Fun

We took our friends to the farm. The farm is lots of fun for kids.

We got to feed the chickens.

When I go to Cecelia's pool, I stay in the shallow end. But the water still comes up high for me.

I jump off the stairs and swim to the other side.
